Intl. Museum Day: Free entry to Mysuru Rail Museum on May 18

May 16, 2024

International Museum Day is celebrated across the world on May 18 to emphasise the pivotal role museums play in fostering cultural exchange, enriching diverse cultures and nurturing mutual understanding for global co-operation and peace.

The Museum curators are directed to prioritise these cultural aspects and instil a deep sense of responsibility in preserving priceless artefacts representing the rich heritage. It is also crucial to carry forward the legacy of visionaries who contributed significantly for the development of Railway system in this region.

To commemorate this significant day, Mysuru Rail Museum  is offering free entry to children from orphanages, differently-abled schools and those below 12 years of age between 10 am and 5.30 pm.
