Intl. Museums Day on May 18

As part of International Museums Day, the Department of Archaeology, Museums and Heritage, has organised a bus tour of select museums for students, researchers and history enthusiasts, on May 18. The Day is being celebrated with the theme ‘Museums Uniting a Divided World.’

The tour will commence from Wellington Government Museum and Art Gallery, Irwin Road, near Suburban Bus Stand at 8 am on May 18. After visiting select museums, the tour will wind up at the starting point.

Interested school/ college students, researchers, history enthusiasts in the age group of 10 to 60 years, can register directly at the Department office located in Dasara Exhibition Grounds premises or through e-mail: [email protected] or [email protected], according to a press release.
