Kumar Performing Arts Centre (KPAC), Mysuru, has organised its 3rd Annual World Dance Day celebrations and 56th International Nirantara Kalemane Festival, along with the ‘Kalemane Kalashree’ Award Ceremony, at its Kalemane Sabhaangana in Hebbal 2nd Stage on Apr. 30 at 3.30 pm. The event will be inaugurated by ISKCON Temple (Mysuru) Vice-President Sri Karunya Sagara Dasa.
The ‘Kalemane Kalashree’ Award will be conferred on the following personalities: Dr. Manasa, Chairman, Kannada Book Authority (Literature), Dr. K.R. Satyavati, Bengaluru (Bharatanatya); Dr. P. Padmapriya Manikanthan, Chennai (Bharatanatyam); Guru Vidushi Bhavana, Bengaluru (Bharatanatyam). The cultural performances for the evening include: Bharatanatyam by Guru Bhavana and her disciples from Sadhana Dance School, Bengaluru; Bharatanatyam by Guru Vidushi Nagashree Paneendra Kumar and her disciples from Sri Nataraja Performing Arts Centre, Mysuru; Bharatanatyam by Vidwan V. Mahesh and his disciples from Sri Sharada Dance Academy, Chamarajanagar; Bharatanatyam by Dr. Padmashri and her disciples from Kala Nidhi School of Dance, Mysuru.
