Is Manuvana Park in Chamarajapuram a dump yard?

September 26, 2022

Sir,

I am a regular walker at Manuvana Park in Chamaraja-puram (opposite to Law Courts). Most of the time I have been watching people eating comestibles inside the park and throw the papers and covers all over.

Even I have seen tea cups strewn all over in the park. Though dustbins are kept at some points in the park, most of the time they are full and not being cleared regularly.

Especially at a time when Dasara is here and many tourists not only from other States but also from other countries as well are visiting our city which is known for its cleanliness,  I appeal to the authorities concerned in the City Corporation to prohibit eating or drinking  inside the parks.
