Mysuru: Ishana Devaiah Pykera, a 1st PUC student at BASE PU College, Mysuru, secured a silver medal in U-18 Heptathlon at the Karnataka State-level Junior Athletics Meet-2026, held recently at Kanteerava Stadium in Bengaluru. She exhibited exceptional determination and all-round athletic ability across all 7 events.

Ishana has been qualified to represent Karnataka at the National Junior Athletics Meet as well as South Zone Athletics Meet. She is trained by retired Sports Authority of India (SAI) Coach G.R. Prabhakar.
