ISI/FSSAI licence and cap seal mandatory for packaged drinking water

Mysuru: Packaged drinking water units supplying water in cans without licence from ISI/FSSAI will invite legal action, according to Dr. Kusuma and Dr. S. Chidambara, In-charge Officers for Food Safety and Quality.

ISI/FSSAI-approved packaged drinking water units should supply water in cans with the cap sealed with company sticker. With effect from Sept. 15, such water cans without cap seals will be prohibited from sale. Any violations would invite legal action and the goods will be seized.
