ITF Jakarta Men’s Tennis Tournament: Prajwal, Niki Poonacha duo enter semi-finals

Jakarta: Mysuru lad S.D. Prajwal Dev teaming up with state-mate Niki Kaliyanda Poonacha entered the semi-finals in the men’s doubles event in the $15,000 ITF Men’s Tennis Tournament at Jakarta, Indonesia, yesterday.

In the quarter-finals, second seed Prajwal Dev and Niki Poonacha duo combined well to beat Fitradi M Rifgi (INA) and Anthony Suranto (INA) 7-5, 6-1. In the men’s singles pre-quarterfinals, Soichiro Moritani (JPN) beat Niki Poonacha 7-6 (4), 7-6 (5) to enter the last eight stage of the tournament.
