July 22, 2021

Bengaluru: The offline classes in all Degree Colleges will start from July 26, said Deputy Chief Minister and Higher Education Minister Dr. C.N. Ashwathnarayan.

Talking to reporters on the sidelines of a function yesterday, he said 75 percent of students who are above 18 years of age, teaching and supporting staff of all Government, Government-aided and Private Degree Colleges have been vaccinated. The rest would be inoculated soon.  The available vaccine was equally shared among the students and others. Those students who wish to attend offline classes should have taken the first dose of vaccine. A lot of changes have been brought in Higher Education Department in the wake of COVID-19 pandemic, he added.

The Minister said Learning Maintenance System (LMS) has been introduced to banish the gap between urban and rural students over digital learning. Laptops and Tablet PCs are distributed to students.
