It’s winter time. Turn off street-lights once the day breaks

December 8, 2023

Sir,

It’s winter time now and we early morning walkers are  finding it tough to go for a walk because certain streets are absolutely dark as the street-lights are switched off early in the morning.

Knowing the risks of walking in the dark, no matter how strong you are, it gives us chills to wade through these streets.

Unfortunately as you age we don’t get enough sleep till day breaks and doctors suggest it is better to walk in empty stomach.

It is my humble request to CESC authorities to turn off the street-lights once the day breaks so that the walkers can go ahead with their heads up high rather than falling into a pit in the dark.
