J.L. Rama Tantri (79), Proprietor of Hotel Ramaa Grand, Founder of Hotel Ajantha and a resident of Siddarthanagar, passed away last night in city.

A native of Dakshina Kannada, he leaves behind his wife, son Subramanya Tantri, President of Hoteliers Charitable Trust, two daughters and a host of relatives and friends.

A senior member of Mysuru Hotel Owners Association, Rama Tantri was also an active member of Shri Krishna Mitra Mandali and was a recipient of State Hotel Owners Association’s Athitya Award. He had also served as the President of Krishnadhama Sabha. Last rites were performed at the foot of Chamundi Hill this morning.
