Jail inmate dies of illness at hospital

Mysore/Mysuru: An inmate of Mysuru Central Prison, who was undergoing jail sentence in a dacoity case has died of illness at K.R. Hospital on Tuesday. 

The deceased is Bangarashetty (48), a resident of Megalahundi village in Chamarajanagar district.

Bangarashetty, in 2019 was convicted in a dacoity case and was undergoing prison term at Mysuru Central Prison. He was suffering from liver ailment since three months and was admitted to Victoria Hospital in Bengaluru and was later admitted to K.R. Hospital in Mysuru where he breathed his last on Tuesday, according to the Police.

A case has been registered at Mandi Police Station.
