Mysore/Mysuru: The Janata Jaladhare Jatha launched by the JD(S) seeking full utilisation of the State’s share of water of all rivers, will take place in all the four Assembly segments of the city — Chamaraja, Krishnaraja, Narasimharaja and Chamundeshwari — on Apr. 30.
Addressing a preparatory meeting at Jaladarshini Guest House here on Tuesday, MLC C.N. Manjegowda said that K.R. Nagar MLA S.R. Mahesh will flag-off the Jatha at Yelwal Ganapathy Temple premises at 9 am on Apr. 30. The Jatha which commences from Yelwal on Hunsur Road will cover the areas coming under all the four Assembly segments of the city, before exiting city at Naganahalli along Mysuru-Bengaluru Highway, he said and appealed the party workers and members of the public to attend the jatha in large numbers.
City JD(S) President K.T. Cheluvegowda, District President Narasimhaswamy, leaders Gangadhargowda, Beerihundi Basavanna, Prema Shankaregowda, Abdulla, Prakash Priyadarshan, former Mayor M.J. Ravikumar and others were present.
