Chamarajanagar: The Annual Atishaya Mahotsava at the famed Jain shrine Kanakagiri near Maleyur in Chamarajanagar taluk was launched yesterday. Kanakagiri Shrine seer Sri Bhuvanakeerthi Bhattaraka Swamiji performed puja to the Dhwajastambha to launch the festival in the presence of Sonda Mutt’s Bhattalanka Swamiji and other Seers.

Earlier, the rituals began early on Wednesday morning with the performance of Panchamruta abhisheka and other pujas.
