MCCI calls on Commercial Taxes Commissioner C. Shikha

Mysore/Mysuru: The office-bearers of Mysore Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MCCI) held a meeting with C. Shikha, Commissioner of Commercial Taxes, Government of Karnataka, during her visit to Mysuru on Apr. 26.

MCCI President K.B. Lingaraju and Management Committee Member S. Achutha discussed about the tax issues and GST problems.

MCCI Management Committee Member D. Padmanabha, who is also the President of Mysore & Chamarajanagar District Industrial Supply and Marketing Co-operative Society Ltd. (DSMS, Mysuru) raised the point of non-refund of GST from past 5 years of about Rs. 70 lakh due to the DSMS and requested the Commissioner to take appropriate action. 

MCCI Hon. Secretary A.K. Shivaji Rao participated in the meeting. The delegation was asked to have a joint meeting of MCCI and Office of the Joint Commissioner of Commercial Taxes on regular intervals, so that problems related to Trade and Industry can be sorted out.
