Mysuru: “Jayadeva Cardiology Hospital in Mysuru is functioning in a full-fledged manner with good infrastructure and staff strength,” affirmed Dr. C.N. Manjunath, Director, Jayadeva Institute of Cardiovascular Sciences and Research, Bengaluru.
He was on a visit to the hospital on KRS Road here recently.
Manjunath said that the hospital in Mysuru, in its Out Patient Department (OPD) is handling about 500 patients per day adding that angiogram and angioplasty procedures were performed on 25 to 30 patients.
He further said that 60 open heart surgeries have been conducted so far.
Continuing, Dr. Manjunath said that the hospital offers Master Health Check-up facilities with consultation services of specialist surgeons all in a high-tech ambience.
Thanking Chief Minister H.D. Kumaraswamy for allocating Rs.150 crore for a similar hospital in Kalaburagi in the Budget, Dr. Manjunath said that the hospital will come up in three years at the premises of DHO’s office there.
Dr. Manjunath further said that a new 300-bed hospital is coming up at the Bengaluru hospital expanding the present capacity of 700 beds with assistance from Infosys Foundation.
He added that donors in Bengaluru have also helped to establish a rehabilitation centre and additional Cardiac Ward.
