Mysuru: Karnataka Sugama Sangeetha Parishat, Mysuru, in association with Sri Ananteshwara Samskrutika Pratishtana, Mysuru, is organising ‘Jayakavi Geethotsava’ on Sept. 9 at 5 pm at Sri Nadabrahma Sangeetha Sabha on JLB Road in city.

The event will feature songs composed from the poems of noted poet Jayappa Honnali. The programme is being organised under the leadership and chairmanship of Dr. Nagaraj V. Bairy, President of Karnataka Sugama Sangeetha Parishat, Mysuru.

Dr. P. Shivaraju, Additional Commissioner, Regional Commissioner’s Office, Mysuru Division, will inaugurate. Amshi Prasanna Kumar, Journalist, will be the chief guest. Dr. Y. D. Rajanna, former President of Kannada Sahitya Parishat, will deliver the congratulatory address.

The musical performances will feature Nithin Rajaram Shastri, Dr. A.D. Srinivasan, Raviraj Haasu, Srikar, Ritwik Raj, Indrani Anantharam, Rashmi Chikkamagaluru, Divya Sachidananda, Hamsini, Amulya, Deepa Pattar, Sugandhamma, along with the students of Nithin Nadamrutha. They will be accompanied by Ganesh Bhat on keyboard, Parameshwara Hegde on tabla, Balu on flute and Kiran on rhythm pad. The event will be compered by Yediyur Samiullah. Entry is free.
