Jayciana-2017 takes off on a colourful note

April 23, 2017

Mysuru: The three-day Jayciana-2017, the annual cultural extravaganza of Sri Jayachamarajendra College of Engineering (SJCE) took off on a grand scale at the College campus here last evening by letting off a bunch of sky lanterns.

As part of the festival, an expo of swanky bikes and cars was also arranged. The vrooming of high-end bikes mesmerised the youth.

The stage programme commenced with music and dance competitions including Shiva Thandava and Naga Devathe dances. The fast numbers enthused the crowd to sway to the tunes. For the first time, SJCE students rendered a song highlighting their pranks in classes which was composed by them which was hilarious. Bollywood singer Shefali Alvares gave a performance.

Today’s cultural evening features performance by singer Vijay Prakash.
