Jinxed Panchavati Signal

June 3, 2018

Sir,

Of late, Kalidasa Road has become a  busy road with continuous flow of traffic. There is a traffic signal light at the Panchavati junction of Kalidasa Road and Gokulam Road which is not functioning properly for the last six months.

In between for a couple of weeks, the signal light was functioning and now again it is dead. I was told that there are some serious issues with the underground electrical cabling and electrical connections to this signal light.

The authorities concerned should take up the issue seriously with CESC officials and ensure that the signal lights are charged again, for the benefit of public.
