They had allegedly taken Rs.8.5 lakh cash from youths promising jobs
Mysore: Yet another case has been filed at K.R. Police Station by two youths against two women, who had allegedly taken money from them by promising them jobs at Banks.
While the youths, who were cheated are Rajesh of Pandavapura taluk in Mandya district and Keshavamurthy of Mysuru, the two women who allegedly cheated them are Ramamani and Kavya.
Ramamani and Kavya, who got themselves introduced to the youths, promised them that they would get them jobs in well known Banks and allegedly took Rs.5.5 lakh from Rajesh and Rs.3 lakh from Keshavamurthy to get them jobs.
But after a few days, when Rajesh and Keshavamurthy asked Ramamani and Kavya about the jobs, the women began to give reasons and evade them.
But on May 8, a case was registered at K.R. Police Station against nine persons including Ramamani, wife of Shivashankar and a resident of Chamundipuram and Kavya for cheating job-seekers.
Rajesh and Keshavamurthy, who came to know about this, called Kavya and Ramamani on their mobile phones and demanded them to return their money following which the two women switched off their phones.
As Rajesh and Keshavamurthy did not hear anything from the two women, they lodged a complaint at K.R. Police Station yesterday following which the Police registered a case.
