JSS Academy signs Master Research Agreement

Mysuru: JSS Academy of Higher Education & Research (JSS AHER), Mysuru, is a deemed to be University.  

Established in the year 2008, JSS AHER is focused on medical and health-related studies, and comprises JSS Medical College, JSS Dental College and JSS College of Pharmacy at the main campus in Mysuru as well as another Pharmacy College in Ootacamund, Tamil Nadu.

With a view to extend the horizons in the field of Health Sciences, the Department of Water and Health, Department of Health System Management Studies and Department of Life Sciences were also started later.

JSS AHER also ranks among top 50 Universities/ Higher Education Institutions in India for the last four consecutive years by NIRF – National Institutional Ranking Framework by MHRD, Government of India and is currently ranked 34th among 1,479 Universities of India in NIRF Rankings 2019. It has also been granted graded autonomous status under “Institutions Deemed to be Universities” by UGC.

JSS AHER presently has 63 collaborations with nationally and internationally acclaimed academic institutions, Industry partners, health service providers and research centres.

To further strengthen the academic and research capabilities, JSS AHER has signed a Master Research Agreement (MRA) with Philips India Ltd. in its pursuit for Quality & Excellence. JSS AHER, JSS Mahavidyapeetha institutions and JSS Science and Technology University will collaborate with this MRA.

JSS AHER has collaborated with Philips India Ltd. since January 2014 and about 12 studies worth 1.2 crores have been completed since the last five years. This collaboration amongst the institutions would foster inter-disciplinary research in diversified areas in Health Care and Data Analytics.

The collaboration will open up vistas to collaborate in diverse areas with all JSS Institutions with this MRA.
