JSS AHER continues to repeat its feat in NIRF ranking

June 6, 2023

Mysore/Mysuru: JSS Academy of Higher Education and Research (JSS AHER), Mysuru and its constituent Colleges continue to be positioned well in National Institute Ranking Framework (NIRF)- 2023.

For the last eight years, JSS AHER has continued to position itself within top 50 in NIRF rankings. This year JSS AHER has retained its 34th position as a University and improved in overall ranking category from 60th to 55th position among 8,686 participating Higher Education Institutions (HEIs).

The constituent Colleges of JSS AHER have also exemplified themselves in a similar manner — JSS College of Pharmacy in Ooty and Mysuru have been positioned within top 10 Pharmacy Colleges in the country, ranked fourth and seventh respectively; JSS Dental College, Mysuru, ranked 11 and JSS Medical College, Mysuru, 37.

JSS AHER is the only Health Sciences and Life Sciences focused University to find position among top 50 Universities in the country and third in Karnataka.

In the Times Higher Education Impact Ranking (based on Sustainable Development Goals – SDGs) that was announced earlier this week, JSS AHER was placed in 301-400 rank band globally and seventh position in the country.

It excelled well in SDG 3 “Good Health and Wellbeing” positioning at 16th rank out of 1,218 institutions globally and first in India. JSS AHER is once again recognised for its services to society through outreach activities by securing 65th rank globally for SDG 1 “No Poverty” and stands first nationally.

This is further supported by its performance in SDG 15 “Life on Land” with 101-200 position globally and third nationally and SDG 2 “Zero Hunger”, 201-300 rank globally and fourth in India.
