Mysuru: The Graduation Day of JSS Medical College, Mysuru, will be held at its premises here tomorrow at 4 pm.

Announcing this at a press meet at Pathrakarthara Bhavan in city, JSS Academy of Higher Education and Research (JSS AHER) Registrar Dr. B. Manjunatha said that Suttur Seer Sri Shivarathri Deshikendra Swamiji will grace the occasion. JSS Mahavidyapeetha Executive Secretary Dr. C.G. Betsurmath will preside. JSS AHER Pro-Chancellor Dr. B. Suresh and Vice-Chancellor Dr. H. Basavanagowdappa will be the guests of honour.

Mahatma Gandhi University of Medical Sciences and Technology (Jaipur) Vice-Chancellor Dr. Achal Gulati will be the chief guest and present the medals and awards to the students.

JSS Medical College Principal Dr. D. Narayanappa said, a total of 208 MBBS students will receive their graduation certificates and six meritorious students will receive 12 gold medals and 11 cash prizes.

The teaching faculty will be honoured with the best teacher award while research excellence award will be presented to the highest number of publications and highest number of citations. The prestigious Prof. Y.T. Thathachari Endowment Prize for the best research publication for the year 2024 will also be presented on the occasion.

JSS Medical College Vice- Principal Dr. M.N. Suma, Dr. Praveen Kulkarni, Dr. M. Mahantappa, Administrative Officer S.R. Satish Chandra and Sudheendra Bhat were present.
