Mysore/Mysuru: H. Amith and Harish Kulkarni, Electronics and Instrumentation students of SJCE, JSS Science and Technology University (JSS STU), Mysuru, teamed up with Dr. M. Shwethashree, Department of Community Medicine, JSS Medical College and P.V. Harshavardhan, JSS Pharmacy College student, have won the first prize for their presentation on ‘Innovative Medical Device Design Idea to Monitor the Pathologies- related to Ear’ entitled “Student Pocket Mobile Otoscope” in the first round at MEDHA – 2022, a Medical Device Hackathon organised by IIT Bombay, Mumbai.
The team was selected for National-level competition held on May 28 at IIT Bombay and have been conferred with Compact Design Award in the final round.
Medical Device Hackathon (MEDHA) – 2022 was organised by Biomedical Engineering and Technology Innovation Centre (BETIC), IIT Bombay in collaboration with JSS Academy of Higher Education and Research, Mysuru.
They worked under the guidance of Dr. M.S. Mallikarjunaswamy, Dr. N. Sheela and Dr. K. Umarani, Department of Electronics & Instrumentation.
Dr. A.N. Santhosh Kumar, Vice-Chancellor (in-charge), JSS STU, Dr. S.A. Dhanaraj, Registrar, JSS STU and Dr. C. Nataraj, Principal (in-charge), SJCE, have lauded the team for their outstanding achievement.
