Bengaluru: The Supreme Court (SC) Collegium has approved the proposal for elevation of a Senior Advocate and two Judicial Officers as Judges of the Karnataka High Court (HC). The Senior Advocate is Aditya Sondhi and the two Judicial Officers are Rajendra Badamikar and Khazi Jayabunnisa Mohiuddin.

Badamikar is currently serving as Registrar General of the HC. In his earlier stints, Badamikar had served as a District Judge in Mysuru, Kolar and Tumakuru. Hailing from Bagalkot district, Badamikar is a stickler for law and he is known to be a strict Judge in legal circles.
