Aryan and Chethan of Gandhadagudi Foundation, Mysuru, accorded a royal honour to former Howdah elephant Abhimanyu by adorning it with a specially made jumbo turban on its arrival at Mysore Palace this morning from Mathigodu Elephant Camp. Aryan told SOM that the royal turban, made at ‘Munna Peta Works’ in Bengaluru, weighs about 8 kgs and took two months to complete. Over 8 mts of red velvet cloth was used to make the turban with a golden border, costing Rs. 27,000 in total.
