Mysuru:  A newly recruited junior lineman trainee attached to Chamundeshwari Electricity Supply Corporation (CESC) was electrocuted and  another lineman was seriously injured when they were repairing power lines at Sindhuvalli in Mysuru taluk yesterday.

The deceased has been identified as Basavaraj (24), a resident of Ramdurga taluk of Belagavi district. The injured Murugan was rushed to private hospital for treatment.

Basavaraj who was severely  injured died en-route to hospital. Mysuru Rural Police have registered a case in this regard and are investigating.
