JWGC fetes Kempegowda’s descendant

Mysuru: The 517th jayanti of Nadaprabhu Kempegowda was celebrated at Jayachamaraja Wadiyar Golf Club (JWGC) in the city yesterday. 

The event was organised to commemorate Kempegowda’s visionary leadership, exemplary administration and invaluable contributions to Karnataka and the Kannada community. On this occasion, Somashekhar, a descendant of Kempegowda, was felicitated by JWGC President Arun Kumar and Captain Yashwanth, along with M.R. Surya Kumar, Dr. Chandan and Samarth Patel.  

The event was aimed to introduce the younger generation to Kempegowda’s historic contributions.  

The Legends Group also supported the event. Among those present were Nandan, Naveen, and Yashasvi Shankar, along with several other guests.
