Jyothi (70), retired teacher, wife of senior Congress leader H.S. Venkatasubbaiah and a resident of Tonachikoppal, passed away yesterday morning at a private hospital in city.

She leaves behind her husband, one son and a host of relatives and friends. Last rites were held at the foot of Chamundi Hill yesterday evening.
