K. Eeregowda elected unopposed as MyMUL President

October 24, 2025

Mysuru, Oct. 24 – As expected, K. Eeregowda of H.D. Kote taluk was elected unopposed as the new President of MyMUL (Mysuru Milk Union Limited) here yesterday.

Eeregowda becomes the first Director from H.D. Kote taluk to become MyMUL President. He was elected as MyMUL Director for 4 consecutive terms.

The process for election of MyMUL President was held in the Mega Dairy premises at Alanahalli on Thursday, when barring Eeregowda, no other candidate filed nomination paper. Subsequently, the Returning Officer Sridhar declared that K. Eeregowda has been elected unopposed as MyMUL President.

The election was necessitated following the resignation of R. Cheluvaraju, who had quit last month as per a power sharing formula. Eeregowda will have a short term of just 5 months as his tenure will end in March.

Speaking after getting elected unopposed as MyMUL President Eeregowda said that he has plans to make MyMUL a model one in the entire State. Thanking Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, Ministers Dr. H.C. Mahadevappa and K. Venkatesh, H.D. Kote MLA Anil Chikkamadu, MLC Dr. Yathindra Siddaramaiah and other political leaders of the district for his election, he said his first priority would be to protect the interests of dairy farmers.

Pointing out that there were just 19 Milk Producer Societies in H.D. Kote taluk when he was first elected as a Director years ago, he said that this number has now increased to 186, which is not a simple thing. He will try his best to see that the Panneer Production Plant and Mega Milk Collection Unit, which are under construction, will be inaugurated by CM Siddaramaiah, during his (Eeregowda) tenure, he added.

Joint Registrar of Co-operative Societies C. Prasad Reddy, Animal Husbandry Department Deputy Director Dr. Nagaraj, KMF representative M. Krishnappa, NDDB representative Nidhi Negi, MyMUL directors and others were present.
