K. Hemmanahalli Annual Jathra on Feb. 18

Mysore/Mysuru: On account of Mahashivaratri, ancient Hoysala period (1188 AD) Sri Mahalingeshwara Temple at K. Hemmanahalli, Mysuru, renovated in 1994 by Sri Dharmasthala Manjunatheshwara Dharmothana Trust, has organised a grand 29th Annual Jathra Festival on Feb. 18.

From 6 am on Feb. 18 to 6 am on Feb. 19, Rudrabhisheka, Alankara and Prasada Viniyoga will be conducted once in every three hours.

Devotees can themselves perform Abhisheka to the ancient linga. They have to bring water and required items. From 10 am onwards, general public will present their talents like rangageethe, folk songs, dance etc.

Artistes of Huyilalu village will stage the play Satya Mahandhata-Lakshmi Garvabangha from 6 pm till sunrise.
