K.L. Venkatasubbaiah (90), retired employee of Posts and Telegraphs Department and a resident of Dattagalli, passed away on Feb. 25 in city.

He leaves behind his wife Vasanthalakshmi, two sons including city’s renowned eye surgeon Dr. Ravishankar Venkatasubbaiah, one daughter, daughters-in-law, son-in-law, 8 grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends.

Last rites were held on Feb. 26 at the foot of Chamundi Hill.

Born in Kowshika in Hassan district, Venkatasubbaiah served in the Post and Telegraph Department for four decades                    before retiring in 1992 and had involved himself in social and cultural activities.
