Mysore/Mysuru: K.M. Chandre Gowda, a Senior Steward and retired KAS Officer, has been unanimously elected as the Chairman of Mysore Race Club (MRC) Ltd., for the official year 2023-24, at the Managing Committee Meeting held after the 55th Annual General Body Meeting  yesterday (Oct. 8).

The following have been declared elected at the election for two Stewards and two Committee Members:

For the post of two Stewards, there were five contenders out of which K.M. Chandre Gowda (101 votes) and K.N. Suresh Kumar (84 votes) were elected. Other contenders Y.B. Ganesh bagged 60 votes, H. Kusumakar Shetty secured 37 votes and G. Venkatesh  bagged 80 votes.

There were three contenders for the post of two Committee Members and Gautam Basapa (161 votes) and Dr. M.V. Venu (133 votes) were elected. Other contender L.N. Nataraj secured 72 votes, according to a press release from N.H.S. Mani, Secretary and CEO of Mysore Race Club Limited.
