‘K.P. Poornachandra Tejaswi Hakki-Pukka’: Special lectures, book release and documentary screening

Mysuru:  Marking the 26th anniversary of Abhiruchi Prakashana, a programme titled ‘K.P. Poornachandra Tejaswi Hakki-Pukka’ has been organised in city on Sept.8 and 9, under the joint aegis of Abhiruchi Prakashana, Karnataka Rajya Raitha Sangha (KRRS), Hasiru Sene, Niranthara, Swaraj Abhiyana and Manava Mantapa, Mysuru.

Disclosing this at a press meet at Pathrakartara Bhavan here yesterday, Abhiruchi Ganesh of the Prakashana said that a bird watching programme has been organised tomorrow (Sept.8) at 7 am at Kukkarahalli Lake under the leadership of Shivaprakash and D. Tanuja to be inaugurated by Raitha Sangha leader Darshan Puttannaiah.

An expo of pictures of insects titled ‘Tejaswi Kanda Keeta Prapancha’ will be inaugurated by Padma Sriram at 10 am at Suchitra Art Gallery in Kalamandira premises.

The main stage programme at the Mini Theatre in Kalamandira premises will be inaugurated at 10.30 am. An English translation of Purnachandra Tejaswi’s ‘Jugari Cross’ by Ravi Hanj will be released by wildlife photographers Kripakar and Senani.

‘Mayaloka,’ a documentary on Tejaswi, will be screened at 11.30 am which will be followed by lectures on various topics.

The programme on Sept.9 commencing at 10.30 am would feature lectures on topics linking Tejaswi, followed by screening of the movies ‘Kiragurina Gayyaligalu’ and ‘Kubbi mattu Eyala’ followed by valedictory at 3.30 pm culminating with the play ‘Chidambara Rahasya,’ explained Ganesh.
