K. Ramdev (81), former employee of Pandavapura Sahakara Sakkare Kharkhane (PSSK), popularly known as Pandavapura Sugar Factory and a resident of No. 168, A1 Block, Vijayanagar 3rd Stage, passed away following age-related ailments in city yesterday midnight.

He was the younger brother of K. Vijayakumar, retired Joint Director of Information and Publicity Department and is survived by his wife and a host of relatives and friends.

Ramdev had acted in many dramas including ‘Gowdara Gaddala’ and was a close associate of Dharmasthala Dharmadhikari Dr. D. Veerendra Heggade and Prof. Bhashyam Swamiji, Founder of Sri Yoganarasimhaswamy Temple in city.

Last rites were held at the foot of Chamundi Hill this afternoon, according to family sources.
