Over 5,000 candidates qualify
Mysuru: The results of Karnataka State Eligibility Test (K-SET) -2020 for appointment as Assistant Professors in Colleges of the State has been announced.
Addressing a press meet at Crawford Hall here this morning, University of Mysore (UoM) Vice-Chancellor Prof. G. Hemantha Kumar said that UoM, the nodal agency accredited by the University Grants Commission (UGC), had conducted the eighth K-SET exam on Sept.27, 2020, after it was postponed a couple of times due to COVID-19 crisis.
The exam was held for 41 subjects at 11 centres spread across the State.
A total of 1,06,396 candidates had registered out of which 79,717 had appeared for the exam held on Sept.27 in accordance with COVID-19 protocol announced by the Government.
A total of 5,495 candidates have qualified in K-SET, out of which 3,113 are male and 2,382 female, with 1,248 of them (607 male and 641 female) having appeared for the exam at Mysuru centre, he said and added that the qualification certificate has a lifetime validity.
