Mysore/Mysuru: Kumar Performing Arts Centre, Mysuru, is conducting its fourth monthly programme “Kalemane Utsav” at Kalemane Auditorium on Dec. 29 (Wednesday) at 4.30 pm. The programme is organised by Founder-Director Dr. K. Kumar and his wife Dr. G. Malathy, Senior Paediatrician, Mysuru.
The programme will take off with a prayer by students of Ramamani, well-known music artiste, Anargya P. Rao, S.T. Sinchana and S.T. Vishvesha.
“Kalemane Utsav” will be inaugurated by eminent Bharatanatyam artistes — Guru Vidushi A. Chandramathi, Director of Sri Saraswathi Nruthya Kala Mandira; Karnataka Kalashree Vidwan D. Keshava, senior disciple of Padma Bhushana Dr. K. Venkatalakshamma; Guru Vidwan R. Kannan, Director of Nandini Nruthyalaya; Karnataka Kalashree Guru Vidushi Usha Venugopal, Director of Nupura Nruthyalaya and Karnataka Kalashree Vidushi Vidya Ravishankar, senior disciple of Padma Bhushana Dr. K. Venkatalakshmamma.
This will be followed by semi-classical music programme by Guru Vidwan Mysore K. Guruprasad and troupe. Then there will be a solo Bharatanatyam performance by Kalaimamani Sangeetha Kabilan, Director of Trinetra Temple of Fine Arts, Bengaluru.
Kuchipudi duet will be presented by Priyanka Ramachandraiah and Meghana Chandramouli, disiclipes of Guru Archana Punyesh of Bengaluru.
Lastly, a solo Bharatanatyam will be presented by P. Neetha, disciple of Seetha Guruprasad of Bengaluru. The programme will be anchored by Vidushi P.K. Nagalakshmi, Anandraje Urs, K.M. Lekha, K.M. Nidhi and Pruthvi Jana.
