Plans to construct Old Age Home at foothill
Mysore/Mysuru: Kamakshi Hospital, one of the prestigious Hospitals of the city, celebrated the Founder’s Day and 50th anniversary at a programme organised at both the Units of the Hospital at Kuvempunagar and J.P. Nagar here yesterday.
The main function was held at Kuvempunagar Unit which is celebrating its 50th anniversary.
Puja at Ganesh temple in the Hospital premises and floral tributes to the Hospital Founders late B. Madhava Shenoi and late Sulochana Madhava Shenoi marked the celebration.
Speaking on the occasion, the Hospitals Managing Trustee Mahesh Shenoi said that the Hospital in Kuvempunagar started by his grandfather late Madhava Shenoi has grown by leaps and bounds in the past 50 years of its establishment and has earned the trust of people for its quality service. The Hospital is functioning with the motto of quality treatment at affordable cost, he added. He further highlighted the growth of the Hospital since it was established in 1973 and the contribution of the Founders and Trust members Janardhan Rao, Anand Rao, Suresh Rao and Vishwanath Rao.
Mahesh Shenoi further said that marking the 50th anniversary, the Hospital Trust will construct a Old Age Home at the foot of Chamundi Hill in two years.
Long serving (over 25 years) Hospital staff Narendra Shenoy and Nurses K.S. Baby, Sunanda and Shobha were felicitated on the occasion. Also, Vinith and Monica, meritorious children of Hospital staff who scored high marks in SSLC (2022-23) were presented Pratibha Puraskar.
Puja at temple and floral tribute to the Founders were also offered at the Hospital’s second Unit in J.P. Nagar.
Hospital’s Joint Managing Trustee Dr. M. Ashok Shenoi, Administrative Officer Dr. K.R. Kamath, Medical Superintendent Dr. C. Umesh Kamath, Deputy Medical Superintendent Dr. Anuradha Prabhu, General Manager S.V. Prasanna Kumar and others were present.
