The first edition of Kanjithanda Shuttle Badminton Cup Tournament among Kodava families will be held at the Health Club premises in Bittangala, Virajpet taluk, from May 1 to 5.

Announcing this at a press meet here on Monday, Kanjithanda K. Aiyappa said that Kanjithanda family from Podakeri’s V. Badaga will be hosting the Tournament, which is being organised to promote Shuttle Badminton.

Stating that only one team each from a Kodava family will be allowed to take part in the Tournament, he said that there will be no age limit for players and both men and women can take part.

Ponting out that 80 to 100 teams are expected to take part in the Tournament, Aiyappa said that the winner will                                            be awarded the Cup and the top three teams will be rewarded with cash prizes.
