Mysuru: The Kannada Pustaka Pradhikara (Kannada Book Authority) has invited applications from young writers for granting subsidy for their first ever publication. The candidates must be in the age group of 18 to 35 years and the work must be their first one, which is not published elsewhere in any form.

Subsidy for Kannada books

The Karnataka Sahitya Academy has invited applications from authors / publishers of Kannada books which were published between Jan. 2017 and Dec. 2017 for granting subsidy. The subsidy will be granted based on the quality of printing and publishing, cover design and quality.

The applications for the above benefits, along with supporting documents, must be submitted to the Administrative Officer, Kannada Pustaka Pradhikara, 1st  floor, Kannada Bhavan, J.C. Jaana Jaaneyara Balaga

In a bid to promote literature among young people, the Kannada Pustaka Pradhikara has invited applications from college students, to enroll for ‘Jaana Jaaneyara Balaga’ to be formed in degree and Post-Graduate degree colleges.

The  prescribed application forms can be collected from the Kannada and Culture Department at their respective district headquarters or can be downloaded from www.kannadapustakapradhikara.com.
