Kannada debate, essay, classical music instrument competitions

Sahitya Sangha 2024-25, M. Venkatakrishnaiah (Thathaiah) Anathalaya has organised inter-college 29th Kannada debate contest, 20th Kannada essay writing contest and third classical music instruments (percussion) competition in memory of Lokaseva Niratha V. Narayan Rao.

The essay writing contest has been organised on Feb. 16 at 9 am and percussion competition at 11 am at the premises of Sadvidya Educational Institutions, Narayana Shastry Road and debate competition on Feb. 23 at 10 am at Anathalaya.

The essay writing contest will be on the topic ‘The role of Kumbha Mela in the survival of Sanatana Dharma.’

The debate will be conducted on the topic ‘The present education system is the reason for rise in suicides among   college students.’

Among two of the students, participating in the debate contest, one should speak for the topic and another against the topic.

All the participants should carry ID card and permission letter.

The winners of debate, essay writing and classical music instruments competitions will be awarded with a cash prize of Rs. 8,000 (first prize), Rs. 5,000 (second prize) and Rs. 3,000 (third prize).

The last date to enrol names for essay writing and classical music instruments competitions is Feb. 14 and debate competition is Feb. 21.
