Kannada doctor-writers meet in Mangaluru on May 26

Mysuru: The first-ever State Conference of Kannada doctor writers will be held in Mangaluru on May 26.

Announcing this at a press meet at Pathrakarthara Bhavan here this morning, the conference organising secretary Dr. Annaiah Kulal said that Dr. S.P. Yoganna of Suyog Hospital Mysuru, has been elected as the Conference Chairperson.

Pointing out that “Kannada Vaidya Barahagaarara Balaga”, promoted by the State Chapter of Indian Medical Association, Bengaluru, was established in 2017, Dr. Kulal said that Dr. Yoganna and Dr. Veena Bhat of Bhadravati were the first recipients of ‘Shreshta Vaidya Sahiti’ award.

The one-day conference, that will take place at IMA Hall in Mangaluru, will be inaugurated by the VC of RGUHS Dr. S Sacchidanand at 10.30 am on May 26, he said and added that the conference features talk sessions.

Conference chairperson Dr. Yoganna, IMA Mysuru chapter secretary Dr. M.S. Jayanth, president-elect Dr. Suresh Rudrappa were present at the press conference.
