Kannada works invited for Sahitya Academy Awards

Karnataka Sahitya Academy has invited entries from authors of Kannada books for the annual book award for the year 2021. Books printed during January 1 to December 30, 2021 (first print) are eligible for entry. Books have been invited under various categories including poetry, novel, short story, play, humour, travelogue, autobiography/life history, literary review, science and children’s literature, and first work of the author and translation from Kannada to English.

The entries must be sent along with four copies of the published books to the Registrar, Karnataka Sahitya Academy, Kannada Bhavan, Second Floor, J.C. Road, Bengaluru-02, either by Registered Post or Courier before June 15, according to a press release from Academy Registrar N. Kariyappa.
