KAR Girls BN NCC holds social service and community development programme at Kamarahalli

The 3 Karnataka Girls Bn NCC of NCC Gp HQs, Mysuru, had organised a social service and community development programme at their adopted village Kamarahalli in the taluk recently. The programme was held under Commanding Officer Col. Manoj Kumar Mishra in which an Officer, 11 PI staff, three GCIs (Girls Cadet Instructor), two Associated NCC Officers (ANOs) and about 100 Cadets from St. Joseph First Grade College and JSS Polytechnic for Women, Mysuru, participated.

The programme included awareness on COVID-19, free medical and dental Camp under Medical Officer of the PHC in Beerihundi Dr. B.C. Mamatha, Dr. Bharat Kumar, Dr. Pratibha Garla, Dr. Simran Saluja, Dr. Sneha Dr Namitha, Sub. (Nursing Asst.) Pawan Sharma and Hav. (NA) D.V.R. Rama Rao.

Medicines, sanitisers, face masks and stationary items were distributed to the Primary School students. A cleanliness drive and rally was held under Sub. Maj. Ratti Ram Gurjar, Sr. GCI. K.P. Divya and GCI Lekshmi Das.

The social service and Community Development Programme was assisted by Sarpanch of Kamarahalli village Suma, Panchayat Development Officer Parameshwar, Head Master of Kamarahalli Govt. Primary School N.R. Kemparaju, Secretary Byresh Kumar, teachers, villagers and students of Kamarahalli village.

The villagers appreciated the way the medical camp was conducted and were very happy to get free check-up and free medicine. About 250 villagers and students took part in the free Medical and Dental Camp.

District Health Department, Mysuru, deputed Medical staff and the villagers urged for such camps in future.

Dr. Bharat Kumar and Dr. Pratibha Garlawas conducted the dental camp.

Commanding Officer Col. Manoj Kumar Mishra assured the villagers that such events would be held at other villages in future.
