Mysore/Mysuru: Swaraloka Samskrutika Kala Vedike, Mysuru, has organised International Women’s Day celebrations and Karaoke singing contest at Town Hall in city on Mar. 24 at 9 am.

Actress Rekha Das will inaugurate the programme.

Noted singer ‘Jogi’ Sunitha will be the judge for the competition.

On the occasion, women achievers from various fields — Dr. Rekha Arun (Medical), Nalini Thammaiah (Social Work), Inspectors Mamatha and Dhanalakshmi (Police), K.K. Yashodha (Nursing), Mary Vasanth (Theatre artiste), Assistant Professor Priyanka Shenoy (Education) — will be felicitated.

Around 45-50 singers from across the State are expected to take part in the Karaoke Singing and winners will be awarded gold and silver coins.

Swaraloka Samskrutika Kala Vedike President & Organiser Yashasvini Lokeshwar, Vice-President & Singer Vijayashree, General Secretary S. Priya, Organising Secretary C.S. Shivaraj, Secretary Kavitha and Treasurer Ankita will be present.
