Kargil Vijay Diwas: PM pays rich tributes

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi today paid rich tributes to the soldiers who lost their lives defending India during the 1999 war in Kargil.

“The bravery of the soldiers motivates us every single day,” the PM tweeted. The Kargil War was fought between India and Pakistan from May to July 1999 in Kargil district of Kashmir along the Line of Control (LoC). July 26 is observed as ‘Kargil Vijay Diwas’ to commemorate India’s victory.
