Karnatak classical electric guitar concert on Dec.29

Mysore/Mysuru: For the first time, Ganabharathi, Mysuru, has organised a Karnatak classical concert in electric guitar by Dr. Ranjan Vasudevan on Dec.29 (Friday) at Veene Seshanna Bhavana, Adichunchanagiri Road, Kuvempunagar, at 6 pm.

Dr. Ranjan will be accompanied by Vid. Keshava Mohankumar on violin, Vid. Radhesh on mridanga and Vid. Karthik  on kanjira.

Profile: Dr. Ranjan Vasudevan is a talented electric guitar player in Karnatak classical music. He initially trained under his mother Dr. S. Ramamani and his uncle Dr. B.N. Srikanthan. He continued his advanced training under Dr. Siddharatha Kumar and Vid. Balu Raghuraman. He has performed at many prestigious international platforms such as London Durbar Utsava, Indian Raga festival, Raaga Room, UK and many more. He is highly accomplished in academics with Ph.D in Astronomy and is a Software Developer/ Principle Consultant at Environmental Resources Management (ERM), University of Cambridge.
