Karnatak Classical Vocal Concert tomorrow

Mysuru: Sri Thyagaraja Sangeetha Sabha Charitable Trust, Mysuru, will be presenting a Karnatak classical vocal concert by Vidu. Ananya Ramanujan at 6 pm on Sept. 2 at Sri Rama Mandira, Jayanagar. She will be accompanied by Vidu. Prithvi Bhaskar on violin, Vid. G.S. Ramanujan on mridanga and Vid. V.S. Ramesh on morching. 

Artiste’s profile: Vidu. Ananya Ramanujan hails from a family of musicians. Her aunts, Vidu. G.S. Kamala and Vidu. G.S. Rajalakshmi are eminent musicians fondly known as Mysuru Sisters and she had the opportunity of being taught by them.

Her father, Vid. G.S. Ramanujan, is a sought-after percussion artiste and a music scholar. Ananya has performed in many reputed platforms in Karnataka.
