Mysuru: Vid. R.S. Manoj from the famed Chintanapalli family  will be presenting a Karnatak Vocal  concert at the residence of Mysore Vasudevacharya on Sunday (Jan. 5). He is being accompanied by Vid. Arunachala Kartik on violin and Vidu. Sai Shiv Lakshmi Keshav on mridanga. The concert is scheduled to start at 10.30 am.

Profiles: Vid. Manoj, who is a part of the esteemed Chintalapalli music family, carries with him the legacy of his grandfather Kalabhushana Hanumantha Bhatta, known for the Gudibande Brothers tradition. Guided by his mother Dr. Rajalakshmi Sudheendra, Vid. Manoj has been mentored by Vid. Achyutha Rao, a senior violinist in the State. An Electronics engineer by profession, young Manoj  has an M.A. in Music and has performed at many places. 

Vid. Arunachala Kartik, trained under Vid. C.N. Chandrasekhar and Vid. Parur M.S. Gopalakrishnan, and Vid. Sai Shiv, a leading disciple of Karikudi Mani, are both senior artistes with significant concert experience.
