Mysuru: BSS Vidyodaya, in association with RAAGA Music Academy, Mysuru and supported by Samskara Bharathi, will present this edition of “Bhagini Raaga Saurabha,” featuring a grand Karnatak vocal concert by Vidu. Harini Ramesh on Saturday (Sept. 19) at 6 pm at BSS Vidyodaya, Krishnamurthypuram, Mysuru.

Vidu. Harini Ramesh will be accompanied by Vidu. Prithvi Bhaskar on violin, Vid. Pavan Madhav Masur on mridanga and Vid. S. Manjunath on ghata.

Profile: Vidu. Harini Ramesh, an A-graded artiste of All India Radio, has been a performing Karnatak vocalist for over two decades. She began her musical training at the age of six under Vid. M.G. Lakshmi and subsequently continued her tutelage under Dr. Sukanya Prabhakar and the renowned duo Vid. Ranjani and Vid. Gayatri of Chennai.

She is currently under the guidance of Padma Shri awardee  Vid. R.N. Thyagarajan.

A recipient of several accolades, Harini Ramesh has secured second place in the national-level Karnatak vocal competition conducted by All India Radio and has also won first prizes in Ragam-Tanam-Pallavi competitions conducted by reputed musical organisations.

She has performed at several prestigious venues and sabhas across Bengaluru, Chennai, Mysuru, Kerala and Udupi, including the Bengaluru Gayana Samaja, Brahma Gana Sabha, Narada Gana Sabha, Nadabrahma Sangeetha Sabha and Ganabharati.
