In recognition of his outstanding contribution as a music teacher, Mysuru’s senior violinist and guru H.K. Narasimhamurthy was recently conferred with the title ‘Karnataka Kalacharya’ by The Bangalore Gayana Samaja during the valedictory of its 53rd Annual Music Conference at its premises in Bengaluru. Sri Yadugiri Yathiraja Narayana Ramanuja Jeeyar of Sri Yadugiri Yathiraja Mutt, Melkote, noted vocalist Dr. Vidyabhushana (Sangeetha Kalarathna awardee), The Bangalore Gayana Samaja President Dr. MRV Prasad, Member Vid. Anoor Anantha Krishna Sharma and others were present.
